Title: smoke decanter scandinavian?
Post by: bOBA on March 26, 2015, 02:34:24 PM
Hi all. I am having trouble attributing this piece. Contenders have been Riihimaki, Caithness... Private advice is so far inconclusive. Approx 24cm with stopper, not huge. Has a definite purple tint in the smoke. Looks over 20 years old....... If anyone has seen this item identified, please let me know, thanks.

Stoppers like that firmly point at Scandinavia and several companies can be looked at. Reijmyre is one, Nybro is another  - but there are maybe a dozen Swedish companies who have used this style. Even Holmegaard have used this stopper.

Thanks Ivo, the Scandinavian ID is strong then, even if factory must remain elusive.
