Title: ID help - grey vase

Hi can anyone help me identify this unusual grey vase? It has a slight purple tint to it when held up to the light. It has a seam which you probably can't see from the photos.
My first thought was Dartington but I don't really have a clue.
Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Does anyone have any ideas about the vase? I have spent ages googling but I'm at a loss.

It's more than ok to bump after a month of waiting!  :)
It's an interesting thing and I'm clueless.
It looks a bit too "brutal" to be Empoli or French, too modernist for British, I might be thinking Germany/Austria/Scandanavian but that's not from anything more than vague gut feelings. I'm very curious myself!

I had a good look for this, most of the hooped vases are well known do you think it could be a modern copy?

It looks mould-blown, so somebody, at some point, had to have made the mould - which is an expensive and time consuming process.
I haven't the slightest clue if it might be a modern copy of something.

If it is a copy, then a copy of what? Grey glass often points at Germany, but it will be hard to find out who and when. Could be Gistl, Wiesenthal, zwiesel, WMF - i think there are maybe a dozen candidates. It does look very seventies.

Hi, thanks for all the comments so far :-)
It has lots of tiny scratches to the bottom and doesn't feel too new if you know what I mean (that doesn't prove anything of course LOL)

I generally collect Chance Glass and Czech glass but I buy anything that takes my fancy really. I saw this in a vintage shop, it was absolutely filthy and had dead creatures inside it. I didn't buy it because it was grey and I usually go for clear glass or bright colours. However I then had a sleepless night thinking I should have bought it so I rang my long suffering mum in the morning and asked her to go and get it for me.

Glad I did because I really love it now regardless of what it turns out to be ;D

It's pretty classy whatever it is. I'm not surprised you're fond of it.  :)
