Hi ,
I like the design of this 10 1/2" triangular dish / bowl however I can not find this pattern , I've tried the Chance.net site but for some reason not all of the graphics are working for me there , I am using a very old pc so that could be why .
Pattern is applied to the bottom of the glass.
Thanks for any help , Dave.

Sorry meant to write chanceglass.net ::)

Not Chance this one, it looks like 'Spiegelunion Flabeg' seen in Chance Expressions page 87 by our own David Encill who will confirm if he's about, ;D ;D. Still a very interesting piece, ;D
-
Thank you very much keith , I shall wait to see what Mr Encill has to say if he is about , Dave.
-
My own piece of 'Spiegel..' I also wondered if it had been Chances, ::) ;D ;D
-
From what I have read Filigranglas , Spiegelunion Flabeg swirl designs do not continue to the edge of the piece like your nice example. Maybe it's different with my repeated swirl design ??
Other than the odd handkerchief vase I have always put chance type glass back down again , these swirls however are quite mesmerizing . I have had to put mine out of sight for now as I was in danger of becoming hypnotised... :o

I have that terrible disease of taking home almost everything I see, money allowing ! just over 100 Chance pieces and many, many others, :o ::) ;D ;D

Keith's is VEB Glaswerk Olbernhau/ Dave's could be too

Thanks Christine, will have to write that down, ;D

Thanks Christine ,
Looks like quite a few companies had versions of the Iconic Chance swirl design .
The central hole is clear on mine as it is with the Chance glass swirl ??? yet the heavier leading edge spoke of the swirl is the same as the German varieties .....
Chance made a triangular shape and I'm not sure who else did ....

Either VEB (former East Germany) or Flamingo (Holland), but I'd definitely look at the former as the likeliest candidate. Chance Additions contains the updates to these 'unknown' patterns.
However, since that book was published I have come across another Dutch maker called The White Goose(!) and the triangular dish at the bottom of p.111 (Additions) is probably from that company - the circular textured plate immediately above this was almost certainly made by it. See the attached photos of a square tray with The White Goose label (thanks to Ivo for contributing this)

Dirk gave a definite ID for mine and the pattern looks the same as Keith's
-
I see that - Dirk also helped me with VEB identification. However, I was referring to the original query.

Thanks David , I have to say that I do like these graphic psychedelic designs .... KR Dave.
