Just for show - my recently acquired Elaine Hyde elliptical lustre vase with zig-zag decoration ;D
My first piece of American studio glass and I love it. Her work, can be seen on her website elainehyde.com where it says she worked and trained at the Pilchuck Glass Centre under the direction of Dale Chihuly. Her studio is in Santa Barbara.

Thanks for showing! It's really lovely Anne.
I can just see a big bunch of spring daffs in it... ;)

Oh, nice one Anne

Noooooo! no flowers in this one! :o ;D

I was teasing. But if you put a plastic bag in it, you could use it.
The constricted bit would hold the stems so nicely. :)
I have a Sam Herman for VSL vase with a similar constriction, (it's badly water-marked already) which I do use for daffs if I'm given them. I'm always amazed at how good they look in it, and this vase would show them off in a similar way. The colouring and decor would be perfectly set off by bright yellow flowers!

I was teasing too ;) ;D
I do have a separate stash of vases for flowers though, mostly already water stained. I love daffs and in particular yellow tulips which are my favourite.
I try to keep my 'good' pieces dry ;D

I have a lovely vase for daffodils, A nice green one, but it's ceremic, NOT glass!
