Saw this sign today just round the corner from Carder Way Brierley Hill...... ;D surprised it's still standing. Excuse the dodgy photo, ::)
-
If it vanishes, on one moonless night , there might be a suspicion as to .... 'who done it !!??' :-X .....only jesting ;D :D !! I would ask the owner to take it down ..just in case !
-
Yes, well worth 'preserving' (like a Banksy!) - how big is it Keith?
-
Probably about 3 ft by 2, other side of a large fence, did wonder about grabbing my hand saw and popping back when it was quiet :o ;D ;D The old works have been converted into flats so the land probably belongs to the building company. Honeyborne house is still there and looks occupied.
-
I think it's well worth trying to negotiate a deal on that !
Best of luck , if you so decide !! Cheers, Mike
-
Might get in trouble with the wife if I came back with a dirty big wooden sign ! :o ;D
-
Oh, I thought it was one of those tin-plate ones. Never mind, it's still worth preserving.
-
I couldn't agree more ...well worth getting in trouble with wife over ...the fact that it is made of wood is even more reason to save it ! ;D
-
... and if the wife doesn't like it ... :D
-
You can always explain that you rescued it so it can go into the new museum (as and) when it happens... But meanwhile it needs a place to stay! :)
-
A new perfume bottle might work...
-
I can see a new campaign starting ......the save Keith from his wife.....eerrr ... save the wooden Royal Brierley Crystal sign from disappearing/decaying campaign ! ;D :'(
-
Oh dear, what do I do now ? ::)
