Welcome to the GMB. To place images you will need to click the 'Insert Image' icon (bottom row, left) and choose the photo from your disk. This forum does not support the [img] tag.
If you are having problems resizing them to the 125KB limit, then instructions are given here (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34093.0.html) on how best to achieve this. I hope this helps.

Hello Frank Sacramento and welcome to the board. I've fixed your image links so that your pics show on the board - the whole image URL needs to be inside one set of
[img] [/img]
tags to make them work and somehow you had split two sets of the tags so it had all gone a bit wonky for you. :)
As Tinypic links tend to vanish after a time so we have no idea what the question related to, we do ask that you add images directly to the board using the attach function. If you are agreeable I can copy your Tinypics and attach them for you to your post above.
If you need helping using the board there is, as David indicated above, a help forum with all sorts of handy hints and tips, or you can ask me or another moderator for help.

David and Anne Thank you for your help in posting my pictures. Hopefully someone will be able to come forward with the Artist name, method (injection) or where this piece originated from. I haven't seen anything like it.

Hi Frank,
I do not know much about this piece. However, it looks to me like it would have been cast lying down, with a triangular piece (maybe of wood or iron) present to create the hole. The marks on the top edge of the piece are very similar to cast marks I have seen on Czech and Scandinavian cast glass. The size is huge and not many places would have the facilities to cast such a big piece of glass. It seems to have also been polished along the front. A complex large sculpture. 60KG+ I am surprised it is not signed. It may be worth emailing Svoboda Ag in Karlov Czech Republic to see if J. Svoboda made it. Having said that, I wonder why Czech came to mind for you, was it sold to you as Czech? Interesting piece, you ought to get an attribution eventually!

I was recently lucky enough to be able to travel to Edingurgh to see this exhibition of contemporary Hungarian glass, curated by Attila Sik. (A member here.)
Some of the work was similar. The exhibition catalogue is here.

Good idea Sue, I see some similarities with work by Melcher. Frank can contact Attila through Prisma gallery if necessary to check this out.

Thanks for confirming what I saw!. The piece in question appears to have been made in three sections, glued back together, in order to incorporate some of the optical effects, several pieces in the exhibition were of similar construction.
Photos do not do the glass the slightest bit of justice - they are three dimensional colour sculptures. you have to be able to see them with stereoscopic vision and to be able to move around them to see all the myriad of effects and different things they can become.

The exhibition is now at Broadfield house, the tree fan looking one is up forsale (as are all of them), that one on the front cover is £21000 and the guys in the bath £5600 if your interested in purchasing them.
-
The "tree" is a piece called "Lilit" - it's a human torso, with various lenses all cut to fit each other, in varying shades of blues and purples.
The Exhibition is going the be at Broadfield House and I would really recommend making the effort to travel to see it if you possibly can. You need to be able to walk around the pieces. :)

Thank you again for the wonderful information on the Broadfield House. Looks as if I would have to be a member or friend in order to access? I have tried to download their membership several times to no avail. Any other suggestion on comparing this piece to tree-lilit would be appreciated. Thank you Frank

Another fact is everything I have purchased from this contact has been from the 1950 to 1990. Have purchased two beautiful Vistosi Birds by Alessandro Pianon so trust what era they told me this piece was from 1970-1980.

Frank, Broadfield House Glass Museum is open to the public. You don't need to join anything or be a friend to go there. See here for details: http://www.dudley.gov.uk/see-and-do/museums/glass-museum/whats-on-at-broadfield-house/

Also, Attila can be contacted here. https://www.facebook.com/prismagallery
He is very busy but is an authority on hungarian Studio glass and should be able to comment.

Hi Frank,
I don't think that it is Hungarian. The pieces that Sue was referring to are studio glasses, your pieces is more like made in a factory although not in large numbers.
If someone is interested in the exhibition at the Broadfield House: I will be there tonight for the private view (6-8 PM) and also give a tour on Saturday (30th May) starting at 2:30 PM.
The Japanese and Chinese piece that Chris mentioned is £4,600 (not 5,600). The price of the exhibited works ranges between £900-21,000. The Lugossy piece is a rarity, the artist has passed away in 2012 and she has pieces in the Louvre, British Museum, Corning, and many major museums.

The Lugossy piece is worth every single penny. 8)
My family and I just wish we had enough pennies. :'(
-
My mistake, the Japanese and Chinese ( 2 women in a bath) is £2,600.... and Pantocsek worked in Zlatno

[Mod: Removing the [img] tag details to leave basic URLs does not display the images in Tinypic!!]
I want to thank everyone for their excellent feedback. Still trying to identify artist. I put this piece under studio lighting with interesting results.Their is a smokey or wisp form to the glass. Almost a facial expression that presents itself under lighting. At different angles it takes different shapes. One side of this piece is smooth glass and highly polished. The other has the cylindrical pattern embossed in the glass.
I want to attach pictures but haven't been able to yet. Need to get to 125KB

I'm sorry we sort of drifted off a bit, and perhaps in the wrong direction. It was the only direction I could think of for such a piece.
Better images, especially if they show off the effects going on inside, will help, I hope.
I do think it's something quite special; and probably fairly contemporary.
However, you are in the States and I would think that would be the best place on the planet to start - it's not something that is easy to shift very far. ;)
I'm afraid I'm not up on contemporary American makers. There are too many for me to cope with.
There is a whole load of techie info here about resizing images.

You just need to find the correct set of instructions for your own systems.
