Title: I need help identifying this signature. very nice vase.
Post by: hmbab on May 11, 2015, 05:03:46 AM
This one is killing me! The vase is about 10" tall. Color odd a very deep, soft, blue.  A sort of horn style on a 2-finger base.  The signature is clear, just can't determine what it says...  I'd appreciate any help!

Looks Like Baylis to me, I know of one designer who worked at S&W's, UK  then Germany ,I think, he's now a senior lecturer at  a University in Indiana, USA, Arlon Baylis is his full name, ;D ;D I may well be wrong  ::) ;D ;D

Thanks for the lead, but it didn't quite match his stuff.  He signs much more loopy, his lettering that is... I'm going to try and shoot him a letter with some pictures.  Thanks!

Arlon also has a son who is a glassblower as well. might be his or signatures may have changed some since 1988.
