Title: Turquoise oblong vase - ID = Whitefriars stitch vase in Kingfisher
Post by: Zojo on May 13, 2015, 02:05:44 PM
Hi, I'm trying to identify this blue glass"vase". If I'm honest it looks turquoise to me!
It's about 6.5" (15.cm) tall x 4.25" (11cm) x 2.75" (7cm).
The pattern is 6 vertical / horizontal lines divided up into a 3 x 3 grid on the "face" side.

The white flecks appear to be emulsion from rather over zealous painting and are not part of the glass!

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Made by Whitefriars and known by collectors as a Stitch vase, colour will be kingfisher.

 ;D

Those white spots are from someone painting their ceiling with a roller - found on many an item...

They'll come off with your fingernail - or a gentle sideways swipe with a razor blade.

Thanks for the tip, just when I think I've got rid of all of the flecks I spot another one!  ;D
