Any thoughts on this one, a lot of wear to the base, a rough pontil and what look like two pontil circular marks to the inner base.
Full of bubbles and large seeds, the top trailing has been pinched so the neck of the vase is oval in shape.
14 inches in height, 10 inches at the widest point across the waist and 8 inches across the base.
4.4kg in weight.

Your vase is by the obscure British company, 'Arculus' of Birmingham, mid 1920's - see Hajdamach, page 98.

Thanks Nigel, I collect tadpole and peacock vases, so this one is not for sale. I've 12 tadpoles and six peacocks, it really is a massive piece of glass, if blown I would imagine it took some lungs to produce, just holding it takes some effort, regards Chris.

No mention of Amethyst in the book, here are the tadpoles, peacocks not packed away. I have give up trying to id them, one is signed Stuart, they have no pontil, a rough pontil, a polished pontil, also included is a standard sized tin can to get a feeling of how big these are.
