Hello all
This isnt my area of expertise so thought someone could point me in the right direction?
I purchased this vase yesterday at a local carboot and couldnt resist it.It was on a stall along with an amber Brockwitz ear lobe bowl which I grabbed straight away but then saw this vase and decided I liked it.
When I got home I decided to try my UV light on it and it glows well.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Thomas Webb water lily pattern, beautiful piece, ;D ;D

I was struggling to get there - peering at the small pics, but I do agree, Keith.
Webb's Gay Glass; Sunshine Amber; waterlily cut, a very unusual shape too.
Lucky you, Nigel. :)

Hi
Thanks so much for the info really appreciate it.Is Webbs British?
It was so eyecatching on the stall so asked about it so couldn't pass it up really
-
Yes. (Well, English to be absolutely specific.).
A good name and from a very desirable range, introduced in 1933.
-
It was £25 so thought that wasn't a bad price. Its not my thing as I prefer Walther Deco glass but thought it was so striking
-
You got a bargain. I hope you enjoy it every bit as much as your Walther. :)

What a fantastic find.....must try to go to more carboots :o I bet it has a Webbs mark to the base but you might have to look very hard if it is worn .
-
Yes it does have a webb mark on base Ive just looked and its definitely there.I never saw it before as the light was difficult to see it in
-
That's great....if you scroll down here you should be able to date the mark you have............
