can anyone shed any light on this bird,I have searched and searched and cannot find anything even close.

Hello hamanda31,  may we ask you to put a few more picture of the bird on a perfectly white base and background. A straight-on side view of each side and a shot of the base of the figurine would help us to help you more.

Much better pictures hamanda31. 
Give me a little time to find out what I can... I don't recognise it instantly I'm afraid. 
Is the tip of the tail broken, or just the angle of the picture?

Thank you...Yes there is slight damage to the underside of the tail.
