[Mod: Split out from ... Pink Art Glass vase (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,60376.msg340585.html#msg340585) ]
I've been told by 2 experts who viewed the photos via emails that they are probably modern Murano art glass, and one suggested I check at this website.
Thanks very much, in advance, for any responses to this inquiry.
Size = 12" H x 8" W

I originally thought this piece was made by Murano, but in continuing my research today I came across glass art pieces by Benny Motzfeldt that were very, very similar. I'd appreciate any information anyone can provide.
Thanks much, in advance.

The colours are very like some of Benny Motzfeldt's work at Randsfjordglas, but the construction and the actual bubbles are quite completely different.
I don't think this has anything to do with Benny Motzfeldt.

Hi Ayehsa,
I have merged your entry from the Scandi Forum with your original thread in the Glass Forum as they are about the same item. I have also removed the photos from the latest post as they were essentially repeats of the originals.
For future reference, any update or extension for any thread should be made to the original as a Reply Post by yourself. A Moderator will handle any changes to the title or specific details. The reply will bring the thread back into the top of the list where others can view it.
When (if) an ID is made, a moderator will move the whole thread to the appropriate forum.

Is this fused rather than blown? It also looks as if the two 'halves' could have been glued together. Can we have a photo of the green section edge on please?

Thanks for the replies. If it is not, in fact, Benny Motzfeldt's work, that information is helpful too.
Yes, the sides are fused together. Hope the photos are helpful.

Thanks, clueless here, never seen anything quite like it. Do you think function is purely decorative or perhaps a wall pocket?

[Mod: This post has been edited to keep the details relevant to the item in this thread. Additional photos - and a follow-up post removed. Reference photo of an "efeso" item also removed as it was in breach of Board Guidelines on Copyright material - direct link to source photo added]
Thanks much for your followup.
The piece is definitely blown glass, and heavy, 4 lbs. Bought it at an estate sale along with 2 other art glass pieces; all were on display in a group. I thought this aqua and green was Murano/Bavovier efeso as I found a few similar in my research - for example see this link (https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5654928_ercole-barovier-lamp-foot-efeso-1964)
I sent an email with pic of group to Murano artist Davide Fuin (I lucked and found a direct email.) His response...."My impression of this pieces is that not one was produced in Murano."
Again, thanks for the input. So appreciated.

Please don't add other vases to a thread unless directly relevant. It just confuses the conversation (it means things make little sense in a few years when someone is using the board to ID something and threads can't be filed in the correct places The aim is to be an ID board and a reference source.) Feel free to bump your items after a week or two by replying to yourself though.
