Title: Glass fishing float.

Hello,  I found this small fishing float at the car boot , It's three inches long and has F2 in raised letters on the end. I did a bit of online searching and think it's made by Flesland, It has dents around for the string to sit in. Just bought it because it looked interesting.  ;D.   I was wondering if there are collectors of such things, if not it can go in the cupboard with my other little bits and pieces! Thanks Cheryl.

Lots of collectors of floats out there, nice looking float, hard to find with the grooves too... The last time I looked prices did not seem to be as strong as they were a couple of years ago.

I seem to have started yet another collection! I never meant to collect floats but now have three.   :D  One ordinary green round float in the thin rope hanging in the bathroom, my brother gave me it, then I found what I think is called a dog neck green large one in a yard sale for 30p, and now this one. I think I need a bigger house!!!       Cheryl

They make a good collection with lots of different colours and designs to be found. Many years ago I ended up with an 'instant' collection after finding about a dozen under the floorboards on a building job, no idea what they were doing there but also included was a lovely and large blue glass ink bottle.

They were probably put there by someone who had no idea where to put them after running out of room like me!!  ;D    Cheryl

hmm, did one of the Martin brothers not stash loads of their work under the floorboards, because he didn't want to sell it?

I like the idea of running out of room....

Here is the ink bottle, learnt an important lesson when I washed it - I knocked the top clean off accidentally banging it into the tap...
