Title: Strathearn PSF222 Variation? ID = PSF232 (mini)
Post by: cxgirl on August 12, 2015, 09:09:49 PM
Hi,
I have a Strathearn paperweight with label that reads PSF222. Mine is 1 3/4" diameter and has 9 canes, but on the site for Strathearn weights this should be 2.3"-2.5" and have 10-12 canes.
Would there be variations in paperweights?
thanks for any information.
Mary

Whoever wrote "PSF222" on that "personal label" was incorrect. Your weight is a "PSF232" (miniature).

And yours is, in my opinion, better looking than many because the nine canes are quite evenly spaced.

Thank-you Kevin! I should have looked farther down the page. Strathearn 1977 is marked on the back but no number.

Hi Mary
Strathearn made some editions of their paperweights in as many as three or four different sizes - closepacks for example were made in miniature, small, medium and large sizes, with some other weights they made them in plain, facetted and multi-facetted versions- l;ike Ice Pool - and some were made in magnum sizes as well.
I like your weight and as Kev says it is a very nice example
Dave
