Title: John Scott Collection catalogues
Post by: stevejl on August 12, 2015, 11:35:14 PM
Last year, and this, one of the finest collections of decorative arts (pottery, glass, sculpture, etc) from the period 1830-1930 came up for display and sale at the Fine Arts Society in London, amassed by John Scott. Part of the sale was a fine collection of Powell glass. Printed catalogues (8 in all) were available, at £20 each + £10 PP.

If, like me, you were deterred by the cost, you may be interested to know that the catalogues are now available for download from the Fine Arts website, at no charge. From the home page, select "Exhibitions & Fairs", then "Past", then each display/sale in turn and download the catalogue pdf.

Definitely one for the reference folder, and for drooling over           :)

Cheers,            Steve L
(and thanks to Laetitia @ FAS for the info)
