Hoping for help to identify this large and hefty vase.  Beautifully made, clearly old.  Any help would be appreciated.

hi - nice vase.           coloured glass not really my thing, but intrigued on two counts.............. what is the 'submerged' colour, could be my eyes but I don't see the usual sommerso effect of a another colour.
and what in particularl makes this 'clearly old'?

not trying to be picky but always ready to learn something new regarding modern glass.           Appreciate the bottle to help with scale, but indication of height would be more useful

sorry can't help with your questions - hopefully someone will be able to help. :)

Something about the colours says SVdA to me, when I have time later tonight I will look through Marc Heirmans book.

Nothing conclusive in the book sadly. How tall is the vase, also is it amethyst with a clear casing or is that casing coloured?
