Hello all, I just acquired this bowl, it measures approx. 6 1/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall. It glows slightly under a blacklight. I know I've seen similar items, but I'm not sure who the maker is, does anyone have any ideas?

Hi don't know who made your bowl but I'm pretty confident it doesn't contain uranium and therefore isn't vaseline. That is the glow you get when the glass contains lots of manganese as a colorant. Uranium glow can never be described as slight, it's always bright but sometimes more intense than other times.

So what combination causes the glass to glow Orange under black light?
I have a few, yellow glass pieces and blue glass pieces, that glow orange.

Ah well, that requires some research. I have one that glows orange too. Will investigate
