I recently acquired this beautiful iridescent glass perfume bottle but there are no maker's marks or labels which leaves me completely stumped. Can anyone please help?
Thanks

;D
Possibly sticking my neck out a little, I may be completely wrong.
While it looks rather like a Mdina piece I have, I suspect it is actually Phoenician.
The piece I have has a heat finished rim, not polished, the bottle is lined in cased white and the decor does not cover the base. The coloured strapping is deeper set into the body and not in this sort of grid formation on the surface, which is more commonly found on Phoenician.
But it might be something else entirely, from the far east. But I don't really think it's quite "shiney" enough for that.

Thanks Sue. I did wonder whether it might be from that part of the world but couldn't find any similar design/pattern in my limited searches in Phoenician or Gozo glass.

I'll get a pic of mine for you to compare. It's not marked, but I am positive it is Mdina, I just can't remember when or how I found out it was. :-[
I think I suspected Gozo when I bought it.
