Any ideas about who made this Snail please ? 

It has a semi matte flatted base base'

It might be Mtarfa...........scroll down to see a snail of similar construction. Searching on Google images under 'glass snail malta' shows this snail along with a similar looking one in blue /with yellow? spots (which is on Pinerest).

Hi Mike,

I am happy to think it could be Mtarfa but with the possibility that glassblowers that worked at MDG went to Mtarfa it could well be from MDG.  :)

The colours are correct for MDG and also it's base looks right.

I rest my case..............
