any thoughts ?
Picked it up at a car boot sale, feels Orrefors but I don't recognise the signature (nothing else on the base other than that in photo)

Perhaps Kosta, maybe Ellis Bergh.

I agree perhaps Kosta c. 1950 but I suggest Bode Willumsen is more likely the designer. Ellis Bergh just used a B as far as I know.

The "BW" has been the subject of much speculation over the years, but Bode Willumsen was a new theory to me. The information I have, which is from a renowned Swedish glass expert, is that the combination B-W refers to Elis Bergh models with engraving designed by Gunnar Widholm.
Having said this, I personally do not believe that it says "BW" or that it is Kosta. To me it is more likely that it says "pu", and that it is a Palmqvist piece from Orrefors.

The only thing that militates against Orrefors is the lack of an "Of" or "Orrefors". I agree the signature seems fairly obscure.
