Snapped this with my phone earlier, a small triangular dish, hope it is useful for reference.

That is a gothic s, so it reads " pastell " , same meaning as in englisch.

For the GU part we'll have to wait for David. I don't think it is Flabegg Union, it may be Marsberger.

That's very similar to some of the lampshades we see about.  Good to see the label!

There is a set here with same label: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/162484134/VINTAGE_GERMAN_PASTELL_16pc_PLATE_GLASS_SET_c1950s_1960s.html which the seller suggests might be Gretsch-Unitas - but they seem to be a manufacturer of windows, doors, etc. and their history page (http://www.g-u.com/en/gu-group/history.html) makes no mention of slumped ware.

Ah, thank you Ivo, not Paftell but Pastell. The examples to be found online all seem to be pastel colours - perhaps the reason for the brand name.

My thanks to Anne too as I suspect the title has been corrected!
