Title: Identify this bowl
Post by: Deesglass on September 29, 2015, 03:16:41 AM
Hi,
Can anyone identify this bowl?
Its the best image I can get at present.
The lady is a stump lady but the bowl may not be Sowerby.
Any help appreciated?
Thanks  ???

The bowl is not Sowerby but my theory (note the theory) is that it is Schweig, Müller & Co. I have a green one http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=1327

Thank you for that reference I could not find it but I was not looking in comports.
I presume that is why you included the link to the Cherubs comport base.

Its a stunning bowl and although I have the cherubs in green and blue, I am yet to find a pink. My next search is to find one, meanwhile the bowl with hold my Muller lady.

I did save your link to your Home Gallery, I will browse later.
Regards Dee

The cherry bowl is not the conventional match to the cherubs but it fits and colour matches perfectly in green uranium; hence the theory. I use it as my fruit bowl in that arrangement. i do have the standard cherubs roses bowl, but I think it actually looks top heavy
