This vase is quite interesting. I have had someone tell me that the design on the vase, the rim, and the base, is silver. I have never seen something like this. The vase is 6-5/8" tall, with the base 2-1/4" wide. The rim width is 1-1/2", and it weighs 3.6 oz. Any information that someone can provide, would be greatly appreciated..

Bud vase, silver overlay pattern, made anywhere from late 20s to early 60s. Pretty basic pattern but by whom I do not know. Silver overlay vases are relatively common in the U.S., a bit suprised you haven't seen one before.

Thanks Ohio.. No, I have never seen one that had the design completely intact.. Occasionally at the swapmeet I would see a glass item but with only a small piece on it... Was excited to find this vase, complete and clean.. I'll do some additional research now..
Thanks again..

Its frowned upon to link to an ongoing eBay auction, however if you use "Vintage 7" Silver Overlay Clear Glass Bud Vase" in the eBay search box you may find something close to yours.

:)
It's only really "frowned upon" because the images disappear later and don't illustrate anything any more.
If we do use a seller's auction to illustrate something however, it does give their sale a little more publicity, so no real harm done. That's why using a link to the auction is the proper way to do it, rather than to pinch somebody's photos.
However, it is seriously frowned upon to denigrate somebody's live auction. :)
