Hi. Here are top and base images of an attractive Caithness paperweight - I am sure it is a commissioned design, and I have a faint recollection of seeing something about it - but cannot find a trace. The engraved signature underneath says ' xxxx Gallery Star 2/250'. The first word looks like it might end 'lle'; I wondered whether it might be 'Little', but the 't' in Star is crossed quite clearly, so I don't think there are any 't's in the first word. Anyone got any suggestions?

Well - the only hint I have about this paperweight's existence are two images you had sent me years ago. The design would fit nicely into a series produced in 1986 exclusively for the US market - but your pw is not included in the 1986 sales leaflet, and these US weights were limited to 350 (not 250).
The base would link it to Amethyst Whorl (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=2954&category_id=305&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=6) - made for Edinburgh Crystal, again in 1986 - but these weights included an "E" cane and were marked Edinburgh on the base.
Conclusion: if anyone has any further info on this weight, I would be most interested as well.
