Title: Tango vase
Post by: Anne Tique on November 16, 2015, 09:17:56 PM
Hello,

Would anybody have any idea who this little vase can be attributed to please? I have no idea what I have bought, but I liked it and it is my very first Tango vase, never had one before. I particularly like the 'finesse' of the handles, as they look so delicate ... well to me they do ... but maybe I'm a little rough...

It's only a little thing, at 12 cm or 4 3/4", and as you can see it has got the odd tiny air bubble, and unfortunately no makers' mark.

What date, roughly, can I put on it please? 20ies?

Yes 20s or perhaps 30s I guess. A nice and unusual example, these Tango vases can be hard to attribute though. I would assume all the Czech glass makers of the period made at least some.

Thank you John, and you're right, it is difficult...
