Title: ID Baccarat mini?
Post by: marc on November 19, 2015, 04:36:38 PM
Hi,
I think it is a Baccarat, diameter 4 cm, concave and polished base.
Is it correct, Is it from the classic period (1845 - 1860)?
Many thanks.
Marc

I agree.  A classic period Baccarat mini.  Broadly similar example shown below.

The way the outer canes on yours are vanishing over the edge suggest to me it has had some significant repolishing.

Many thanks to both of you.
I guess that it is a manufacturing defect because I don't know any glass polishing workshop here in Spain.
Don't you think so?
Best regards.
Marc.

Hi Marc.  Maybe - but it could also have been restored somewhere many years ago, before it reached Spain.
