Title: Isle of Wight Charger/Plate
Post by: Ben.unwin on November 22, 2015, 01:49:19 PM
I have this glass plate, I would of never thought it would of been Isle of Wight glass but the sticker gave it away.
Any ideas of the pattern, age and value?
I have never seen a plate by IOW so any information is welcome

Thanks in advance Ben

Pine Kyoto. :)
The black triangular sticker puts it between '72 and '79 (going by my memory, can't lay my hands on the book to check right now.)

You could check past auctions for an idea of value, now you have the name.
We don't really tend to discuss values and prices here - they're far too subjective. Something is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it, in that place, at that time.

That will be 1980s rather than 70s for the sticker. Kyoto was designed in 1982 and this plate will date sometime from 82 to 85.

Thanks for correcting me.  :)
I was unsure. The dates you quote seem far more realistic for Kyoto.
My book has vanished under heaps of stuff.
