Title: Murano maybe ?

1.5 inches tall, flat polished base, lots of tiny bubbles or is it from further east ?  ;D

Hi.  I am pretty sure that is a Murano piece, rather than one from anywhere further east.

Although Murano have never produced in quite the quantities that China has recently, they probably come second over time when you count up all the paperweights around the world.  So, IMHO, on statistics of production, and if you live in Europe, you should consider first the following sources for attribution: 1. China; 2. Murano; 3. Scotland; 4 Malta or Czechoslovakia.  There are of course many other possibilities, but the great majority of pieces will be from one of these sources.
