This is a puzzle. This jug measures 10 inches high, 6 inches across, and the spout is in the middle. I know the Spanish jugs called cantirs, and but they have a spout on the side, I don't know what the name is for a jug like this, perhaps someone does. This is a bubbly blue soda glass, so I think it might be French or Spanish, and am not at all sure of its age. It might be familiar to someone, many thanks.

what about oil lamp. Difficult to fill, but it does not need to be done very often. There are different designs for different fuels, e.g. camphene, whale oil, paraffin - all with their specific design. This just migh be one of them.

I have a green one its from Gordiola Glass Algaida Majorca .

Do you happen to know its function ? Oil as has been suggested ? Difficult to see how to drink wine out of it with the short spout, but Majorca has wine I believe. Maybe olive oil as opposed to lamp oil.

That settles it, it's a drizzler for olive oil...
