Dear Messagers,
any thoughts on the origins of this little set? Are they British or Bohemian? Richardson, Webb or Harrach? Or??? A very distinctive mark to the base ( propeller in a circa, radioactive sign ) which hopefully will be the give away! Slightly pale yellow/cream glass, satin finish to the exterior, some wear to the gilding. I've plumbed for the period circa 1880 with Aesthetic movement in full swing. With Dresser back post Japan did he have a taste for Saki or is this just a small water set? Many thanks as always.
With kindest regards
Andrew

Dear All,
just found this whilst searching for Propellor Glass mark. Looking towards Harrach.

Nice one. Definitely Harrach and uranium glass I bet

Dear Christine,
thank you for confirming that. They are beautifully made.
Do you think my timings are about right, 1880/90?
The tumblers are 3.25 inches tall. Quite small. Do we know if the jug and tumblers were intended for any particular beverage?
Kind regards
Andrew

The time frame is about right but no idea what they were for

Christine,
with the Cherry Blossom / Japanese influence as a theme I shall christen them my Saki Jug and Tumblers. Now to test them out!
Have fun.
Andrew
