Title: ID Help Possible Tuthill or Sinclaire Water Goblet and Dessert Bowl
Post by: davek on December 12, 2015, 10:51:52 PM
I have been trying to identify the maker / pattern of this water goblet and dessert bowl. My thoughts are Sinclaire or Tuthill based on the quality of the etch. There are what appear to be heat smoothed pontil marks on the foot on a few pieces (we have 9 goblets and 9 bowls) so I believe them to be hand made, at least the stem and foot. They just reflect the violet back when black light tested. The goblet is 8" tall, 3-1/2" diameter at the mouth, has a 3-1/8" diameter foot, and an 8 ounce comfortable capacity.  The bowls are 3-1/4" tall and measure 5-3/8" across the rim. I would like some opinions please. I have shown profile of both the goblet and dessert bowl along with the engraving on the bowl of the goblet and the dessert bowl's foot. I do have more photos if needed.
