Last night I carelessly broke a crystal port glass belonging to my partner's late mother and I'm desperate to find out if I can replace it. There is a maker's mark on the base which I can't identify. I found it on a website, but marked as "unidentified" so I'm desperately hoping against all hope that someone here knows instead...

that definitely looks like a Welsh dragon (congratulations on your drawing skills!) so maybe you get lucky searching for Welsh glass.
Here is one site:

Welcome to the glass message board. Do not despair, someone is bound to come up with the right answer.

Thanks, but I didn't draw it. I found it by fluke on the web. I'll take a look at that site...

Fair enough. I wasn't aware it was a copyrighted image. Apologies. I tried to scan mine, but my scanner wasn't good enough to get a clear image.

In case anyone can identify the glass itself, this is the one I didn't break...

It is the welsh dragon but facing the wrong way - so it is mirrored

I had a glass with that mark and got nowhere with tracking it down. It was suggested it might have had something to do with A Welsh Army Regiment but no luck finding a link. There is a Welsh Royal Crystal

Given that it's in the unidentified section of the Great Glass site I think you might struggle with an ID, but good luck anyhow. http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/markunid.htm
