Any one else thinking Chinese (and a nice one at that) and not the NEGC stated by the seller?

You are correct.  It is Chinese. 

I watched that one but decided not to bid because of the detached petals.  I considered NEGC and B&S.  The problem is that B&S weights with a latticinio ground are rare, and B&S weights with a bud are also rare.  The leaves are also not NEGC.

If you look at the bottom view and the profile, they are both typically Chinese.

I believe Chinese too, here's an example of one I have in a similar mode.
