I would not call this Murano glass. It's molded and not blown (the raised Made in Italy and mold line are telltale signs). Plastic under the stopper also indicates inexpensive, mass produced glass (circa 1970s Pier 1?), although I do have a couple of Eric Hoglund "people" decanters with these plastic tipped stoppers that are blown glass. Nice set all the same, definitely have that retro Austin Powers look. I think it would be nearly impossible to identify the maker.

It could well be Florence/Empoli area as much moulded glass from Italy originates there. Have a browse through some of these links and you might spot something similar:

Good luck. :)

I have seen your decanter in green with the "made in Italy" mark. It was identified as Empoli but no label, so no maker.
Not all decanters with plastic stoppers are cheap and nasty. It was a fashion in the 70's. But the fake Hoglund ones are very nasty. I think people assume they are almost the same but there are many big differences.
Re Glass Links - I have never come across any glasshouses in Florence itself or it's surrounds. The nearest would probably have been Toscana at Montelupo Fiorentino, still in the Empoli area. The city of Empoli is quite big and has a very famous soccer team.
