Title: Heavy cased vase (scottish) ?
Post by: adam c on January 11, 2016, 03:18:57 PM
Hi all, this is my first post so be gentle.
Can anyone help with the origin of my vase?
It is 30cm tall, 18.5cm wide and 10cm at the base.
It is between 8-10mm thick but a lot thicker at the black lines.
Also it is very heavy for a hand blown vase.
Many thanks. Adam.

Welcome to the forum Adam.

One possibility is a relative of this vase: http://s20.photobucket.com/user/chopin-liszt/media/wave/innovate2.jpg.html

That vase had a label reading Innovate, the art of glass. Most of that range was made in China, from another topic:
"The piece below is actually from Dartington Crystal, and sold under the now discontinued 'Innovate' range, which was manufactured in China and then imported to the UK.
