hello lovely glass experts,
my girlfriend and I went to a flea market today and she got this vase for a bargain. now after some looking on the internet we came upon a vase sold at christie's for a good price:

now we're wondering if it's the same one. the christie's says it's got an acid stencil but we couldn't find one. any help would be much appreciated!

Hi the acid mark can be very hard to find , but take care dont get too excited as i am affraid Battuto items are being made at an alarming rate now they are turning up in stores and even Charity shops .
You could take it to an Auction house for opinion of even the Glass fair at Knebworth on the 21 st of Feb . good luck .

Hi John,
thank you very much for your response.
Yes that's what we also suspect. Still a beaut. It looks fairly old (bit of wear here and there) but no acid etching or any of that sort so it may just be a replica or something. A pretty good one though. It's super heavy and solid.
The price my gf paid for it is definitely in the charity shop category. Since we're both no experts in this, and the people who sold it to us are regulars at antique fairs and flea markets, we just couldn't believe that they would let this go for such a bargain.
The glass fair sounds like a great idea. We may just check it out and see.
Kind Regards
