Hello everyone,
I recently bought two uranium glass bowls. I was told that they were imported from France. The first one was Brockwitz in uranium glass:

I understood that they were by the same manufacturer. But the colours are quite different - the green colour of the small bowl looks more vibrant. And I couldn't find it under Brockwitz. Thus I think that the manufacturers might be different, so I don't know if this helps.
Length - 18cm/7in
Width - 4.5cm/1.7in
Height - 5cm/1.9in
Thank you for any information or leads that you can provide! Even what this kind of bowl is called or what it's for exactly.
(including anything you might know more about the linked bowl, as Brockwitz catalogues have only similar bowls)

Hello and welcome.
I think that your 'bowl' is part of a set, to create a centrepiece or floral display. You would need several to create a circle for instance, and you would need to cut that green Oasis foam that retains water to size and stick the flowers in it.

Thank you, it helps me quite a bit,
It does make sense that it's only a part of a set, as the shape feels awkward when standing alone. I didn't think it was a centrepiece 'jardiniere' at first, but it only seems fitting now. And also as the other bowl I bought is also meant to be used as a centrepiece.
Now the only mystery is the manufacturer...

The small troughs were probably sold alone as well. My guess would be Stölzle aka Heřmanova huť. It reminds me of this http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=1478 and they did make troughs http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=2648

Thank you, Lustrousstone.
I think you might be absolutely right. I found this on another website, were a trough similar to mine is also attributed (as 'possibly') to Stölzle: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?album=968&pos=197 .

Hi Dominik, the other website is this board's image hosting gallery, so images there have been uploaded by our members over the years. :)
