Hi,
A poodle on a blue and white plaque, could it be late 19th C - early 20th C. Belgium, Alsace???
Best regards.

Hi Marc. I think your suggestion is as good a call as any! Do you think it has been re-polished? The base edge looks very crisp and thin.

Hi Alan,
I don't know, in fact the edge of the base is not so sharp as it looks in the picture.
Do you know if the figure is metal or porcelain?

Hi Marc.
The majority of the sulphides were made from a paste based on china clay and potassium silicate (I think from ground feldspar). The air layer at the surface often makes the ceramic ones look silvery. I think this is a ceramic one.

Hello,
I have got this other weight, it seems from the same manufacturer.
What do you think?
