Post by: WhatHo! on February 17, 2016, 05:00:05 AM
Hi, can anyone Id this please, date and maker would be wonderful.
It is of great quality and i think lead crystal. Its 7 1/2" across and a flatten and polished pontil base.
It has green wrythan ribbing and a wavy top, thanks in advance Wolfie

Kralik by the look of it, the 'depth' of the iridescence can vary a lot: http://www.kralik-glass.com/kralikribbedtwistedarray.html

The direction of the spiral can vary too.

It's a rose bowl but the rose bowl book does not have it.

Thanks for your help. Is the polished pontil consistent with Kralik? Also when would this piece date to?

Nouveau so somewhere around 1900 to 1915 give or take. Some Kralik items have a polished pontil, some have a ground and unpolished pontil mark, many pieces have no mark at all...
