Title: Glass Dog dark back, white speckled chest - Murano?

Hi,
I wondered if anyone recognised this glass dog. It's heavy, about 4" tall and beautifully made. There are no marks or stickers - it was just in the bottom of a box of things I bought at auction. The bottom looks as though it's hollow up through the centre but it isn't - it's solid, clear glass.
I've searched various sites and found a couple of Murano dogs that look similar - but nothing that matches.

At one time, I think I saw one of these dogs labelled as Portmeirion  Glass.  I will do some investigating and report back. :)
