Title: Smokey Brown Bowl with Green Base - any ideas of maker?
Post by: doozer30 on March 16, 2016, 01:20:05 PM
Hi, Does anyone have ideas of potential makers of this piece?  It was bought in a lot with a Thomas Webb for Rembrandt Guild Vase and a Muller Freres Vase.  I'm not suggesting it is by either of those but any help would be appreciated!

The bowl is a smokey brown colour - 7 ins high and 9 ins diameter with an unusual dark green base and is quite a weighty piece.

Could be a Webb piece, I've seen that shape somewhere before, Webb did do two coloured pieces, could you post a base shot and maybe a less wobbly one of the bowl please, ;D ;D

Yes, sorry about the wobbliness!  This is the only other pic I've got at the mo as it's in storage but can probs get there at the weekend to take a base shot.
