Title: Concentric Millefiori , Is this antique French ? Saint Louis ?
Post by: davem on March 20, 2016, 02:54:45 PM
Hi ,

I've found similar early designs by Saint Louis and was hoping that this may be correct .

Measures    2 1/2" across   x   1 1/2" high

Base is concave with matted wear to rim . There is evidence of a pontil but it is smooth.

Many thanks for any help , Dave.

My opinion is that it is from St. Louis.  Nice paperweight.

Wow ,  thank you for your input .

I couldn't find a good base picture of any similar to this so I really wasn't sure .
Is it likely to be from around 1850 or were these also made in the 20th century ?

I'm very grateful for your kind help  :)

Hi.  I think it is classic period Saint-Louis : 1845 - 1860.  Very nice!
