Title: Signed Wildcraft paperweight. ID = Wildcraft Studios, Ontario, Canada
Post by: hdm50 on March 23, 2016, 11:20:12 PM
I acquired a studio paperweight today that appears to be hand signed WILDCRAFT or WILDKRAFT SC. '88 . I wondering if I have the correct maker and what the country of origin is. Is SC short for Scotland.

Hi.  I don't think that SC is ever used as an abbreviation for Scotland.  I believe this is from a small company (Wildcraft) in South Carolina, probably now defunct.  You can find a few other examples if you search hard on the Internet, all seem to be abstract designs, with similar signature.

Thanks Alan,

South Carolina was also a possibility I had thought of and I guess makes more sense. I will keep drilling and hopefully someone else will help shed some light as well.

just to update the information in case someone else is searching for Wildcraft paperweights:
the SC stands for Simon Chappell of Wildcraft Studios in Ontario, Canada

Thanks cxgirl, I had a friend that really liked it and so I sold it to her. I have passed the information on to her.
