Another mystery item for the Sherlocks amongst us.
-
to me it reads
8 97 George
or 8 97
then G ?????T i.e.. first initial G then a surname ending in T

I can't read the signature but the style makes me think of Pascal Guyot.
-
I can't remember where I read it, but some of his productions have this iridescent finish, as shown on the vase in question.
-
I have found one Anne that has the same pulled iridescent rim and the flashes of colour, just a different shape. Unfortunately it's on a French auction website that as soon as you click on the google image, deletes the image.
I'm sure you are right.

It's the pink one right? Spotted that one too.
Here's another one of his pieces, unidentified by the seller, it's a vase by Guyot with Bernard Aconito, who signed it as well ... just to compare signatures.

Looks pretty much good for a match! At least now I can Google further!
Thank you, ladies!
-
nothing to do with me :-[
I was just looking for one to link
-
I didn't spot anything on the auction site about copyright, and as it's an older auction from 2014, I can't see a problem in posting this image of a similar vase by Guyot for reference, however, if I I've made a 'faux-pas', then please delete this post.

File me solved!
Thanx all.
