Title: Butterfly canes. ID = Baccarat Dupont
Post by: Krecik on April 14, 2016, 08:13:04 PM
I can not seem to find a picture if a similar weight. Are the little butterfly canes common ? I did not see them until I zoomed in on a picture.

It looks to me like a Baccarat Dupont paperweight from the 1920s.  I have seen larger butterflies in these, but not noted tiny ones.

It does look like the white-green canes in the second row from the centre contain a butterfly silhouette as the central motif.

Could you post a pic of just that cane?

If you do not have a good macro feature on the camera, try as close as possible, while keeping the image sharp, and use the highest setting for pixel width & height. Then crop the relevant portion out of the image and maybe enlarge it if needed.

Sorry , I used a cell phone for the first pics.  The butterfly is so small I missed them when I first looked at the weight.

Hi.  They are indeed Baccarat butterfly canes - so I am pretty sure this is a Baccarat Dupont paperweight.
