Title: Gullaskruf ?
Post by: lwerk on May 03, 2016, 09:28:23 AM
Hello, does anybody know anything about this vase.
Could it be from Gullaskruf, the water drop from 1989?
The height is 22,5 cm,1 kilo.
Thank you,Lisa

It might also be a Czech vase from Harrachov, designed by Milan Metelak.

I can see where Lisa is coming from with the suggestion of Gullaskruf  -  this one has a strong resemblance to the design features of their 'Water Drop' vase, although there are differences in shape and size.             According to the book, if it is Gullaskruf then it should have a signature of the word Sweden.

My own opinion is that the colours of this one are a tad too dark for the Water Drop vase, and the clear casing is a bit on the mean side  -  is the base polished flat?

That particular shade of blue is spot on for Harrachov and the asymmetric shape is right too.
