Picked up the vase on the left today, both have moulded bases the taller one is marked Royal Brierley Studio, the shorter one is thicker, weighs at least three times more and feels better quality but is un-marked. That shape is in the catalogue but it's so different in many other ways, ::) any thoughts please ? ;D

Vague thoughts, for what they're worth. :)
Mould blowing is a highly skilled process, perhaps the difference is because of the workers gaining more skill at making these?
It starts off with somebody having to cut exactly the right size of glob of glass from a gather, and given it's a substance the texture of runny honey, that really isn't an easy thing to do.
The weight of the final pieces will depend on the weight of the glob cut.

Thanks Sue, hadn't considered that, I have found artist that designed this range, only took a year and half ! ::) sent her an email and await a response, ;D ;D
