I bought this Whitefriars swan the other day, it is 10½" tall, flat base and trying to ID the colourway has proven difficult, it has a silvery grey / blue tinge to it, possibly arctic blue but not 100% sure, thought I would get confirmation here. What would the approximate age be also please. This is the tallest swan now in my Whitefriars swan collection. I have tried to capture the colour as a whole, then some close ups to help.

Apologies, I have just noticed I have spelt arctic blue incorrectly in the subject line and in the post, it is a bad habit of spelling arctic wrong! if these can be amended, I would appreciate it, as it may also help with other people searching possibly in the future.

suspect you're right with arctic blue, which appears to have been a replacement for sapphire. According to Leslie Jackson, arctic was in production from 1959 until the 1970 catalogue. Regret I don't know the time line for the production of swans, perhaps you can get some idea from the W/F's catalogues, assuming they're still available on line.

Thanks Paul, I read the 10" size was discontinued from 1966 so that puts the timeline 1959 - 66, not a bad buy for £4 :-)

definitely a bargain :) - personally, I like arctic - even if you can't drive it ;D
