Since I started collecting paperweights some 30 years ago I have seen quite a few Pom Pom weights, several makers produced these including John Deacons, Perthshire and St Louis. It suddenly occurred to me that every Pom Pom weight I had ever seen contained only one Pom Pom "flower" and I wondered what a Pom Pom Bouquet weight would look like so I asked John Deacons if he would make me one. John agreed and this weight arrived today so I thought I would share it with you. It is 3.25" in diameter and to the best of my knowledge it is the first Pom Pom Bouquet paperweight ever made - definitely by John anyway.
I would be interested to hear what other collectors think of it so any comments would be very welcome please and in order that comparisons can be made I have included pictures of a single Pom Pom in an amethyst double overlay also made by John and a Perthshire Pom Pom in a red setting
