Title: Origin of glass vase
Post by: Zappatista on June 14, 2016, 06:54:53 PM
Can anyone tell me where this vase was made and when?
It is not marked.
Height 36 cm. Width 17 cm.
I bought it a couple of years ago in Belgium.

Hello and welcome,

Your vase looks very much like the marbled pieces made by Scailmont.

Hello Anne,

Thanks for the welcome and your reply.
I guess you're right. I checked Scailmont on the internet and found the following picture.
Model 156. Same shape, only different colours.
QED, I guess.

It's not quite clear to me up till when this type of glass was in production, they already had this glass early 20ies but the company did last until the early 70ies ... maybe I can find something when I go through some books.
